What a BLESSING to be back at church singing this past Sunday (8/3/2025). We had a moving time in worship (very poignant for me, being my first time singing since I broke my wrist recently). Then Pastor Jamie shared a wonderful and timely word about learning the secret of being content in all circumstances. As Paul said at the end of Philippians (verses 4:12-13): “I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him who gives me strength.” Praise Him for giving us strength ever day–body, soul and spirit. What a meaningful time we had during our Father’s Day Worship Service on 6/15/2025. Beautiful moments worshiping the Lord in song, a message geared to encouraging our fathers, and then at the end a moving time of prayer for the fathers in our congregation, praying over them and worshiping together. The fathers are such a “rock” to their families, taking after the Rock of our Salvation, Jesus Christ.

Want to turn your eyes to Jesus as we proceed through this “Holy Week”? Come join us for another blessed time in worship and the Word in this past Sunday’s Worship Service Live-stream (from 4/13/2025). Pastor Steve shared a good word about how Jesus made it known so clearly during the days commemorated during this week, that He was indeed the Messiah. A couple of things that were notable to me…. First, at around the 49 minute mark, Pastor was speaking about “blind Bartimaeus” (recounted in Mark 10:46-52), and how his calling out to Jesus as “Son of David” was a messianic title, as Jesus fulfilled scripture while He walked along the road leading to His crucifixion and resurrection over this week.
It was notable to me that the night before our Sunday service, I had been singing with the Oracle Band, and the very same story is recounted in one of Mark Caplan’s songs that we sang that night (Here’s a link to a snippet of that song.) Bartimaeus was physically blind, yet he knew Who Jesus was. Sadly ironic, that the religious leaders for the most part could SEE with their physical eyes, could READ the scriptures intently, but were totally BLINDED spiritually to the identity of the One that stood before them over the coming week. Lord, by Your kindness, please open the eyes of the blind…. Finally, on a personal note; I love singing with this worship team at church. Each person is so uniquely gifted … such precious children of our loving Father in heaven. An extra blessing is being able to lift up our Heavenly Father’s name together with two of my nephews. Little precious moments put a smile on my face, watching them (and really everyone on the team and in the congregation) give their best efforts in glorifying the Name above all names, Jesus. One such sweet moment, as I watch the live-stream back, is seeing the precision and fervor with which my nephew Tim played the drums in a specific moment, adding a taste of perfection in timing and focus. It’s from about the 9:05 mark to 9:20. It’s the little things in life that can put a smile on our faces, and I wonder if those things put a smile on our Father’s face as well…. My guess (and prayer) is that as you look to Him this week, remembering all He has done for YOU, and thank Him for His amazing gift and grace, He will smile upon you in the process. And my heart rejoices in the wonder of God’s grace, allowing me to worship alongside these two young men (my nephews) who bring joy to my heart. Who is this Jesus whose birth we celebrate? Want some deeper insight? We had another blessed time in worship and the Word yesterday (12/15/2024). Pastor Steve has been preaching on a passage that was also on my heart earlier this month as I prepared some Scripture readings for my Musical Advent Calendar. I’ll be sharing that scripture on this Wednesday’s day of Advent (12/18/2024). But I recorded it earlier in the month before I knew it would be part of Pastor’s sermons as well. Seems to be a Holy Spirit confirmation. When I chose to share that passage, it seemed to be a bit different than the “typical” Christmas Scripture reading…. Actually, it’s probably the most profound. For we surely celebrate the birth of this Holy Child. He didn’t STAY a baby, hallelujah! He lived a perfect life on our behalf, laid that life down in order to pay the debt we all owe(d), and now He reigns on high! Who is this little Holy Child, indeed. Wow, what a beautiful time in worship together on this past Sunday, October 27, 2024. Powerful praise at around the 17 minute mark. Great are You, Lord indeed. And another moving message from the book of Hebrews! So grateful for the incredible finished work of our faithful and gracious Savior, Jesus. Though the things around us be shaken, He remains our secure foundation.
What a beautiful time this past Sunday (10/20/2024) in worship and the Word. Our pastor’s message helped clarify an often misunderstood scripture passage, so be sure to listen to the end.
Praise the Lord that Jesus’ finished work is ENOUGH, because of who He is. He asks us to BELIEVE in Him and His provision in that respect. Our human perfection and/or fleshly sacrifice will never be able to get us across life’s finish line (ie. pay the eternal price for our sin.) But praise His name, His blood can.

What a moving time in worship we had again on August 18, 2024. At one point, it was such a blessing for me personally to simply stop singing and listen to the congregation praising the Lord. Do you know that Jesus delights in hearing you sing praises to Him? What a profound thought. Who are we that He would care to listen? And yet He does, praise His name.
Also, Pastor Jamie again shared from a profound passage in Hebrews (chapter 6). It’s one thing to “taste” the Lord. It’s quite another to have Him be the Bread of Life within us … for Him to be the very breath we breathe. More wonderful moments in worship and the Word yesterday (8/11/2024). Please do join with us in the worship service live-stream replay (linked below). Pastor Jamie gave another great sermon from Hebrews, and remained so focused in the midst of several technical issues we were having. His fortitude to carry on preaching the word “in season and out” was quite the word picture to me in looking back at the service. As we continue to proclaim the Word of God, regardless of the chaos that surrounds us, His Word will not return empty.
“As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth; it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:10-11)

Yesterday’s worship service (6/9/2024) was again filled with such beautiful moments of honoring Jesus Christ. Again, the message this week was highlighting some wonderful ministries that are worth checking out, praying for and supporting as the Lord leads. Pastor Jamie also gave a brief message about why we do what we do–joining in with the Lord’s good work. We become part of doing His will, praise His holy name. During the last song, my heart was moved to the point that singing was obviously effected…. Any other worship leaders/singers out there, have you ever had such moments? The Lord touches your heart in the moment, and you continue to enter in. So grateful for His gracious heart and why He would love us and desire this relationship with us. Continuing in that moment of tenderness and grace, many in the congregation enter in as well. My prayer is that any who join us in the livestream replay will also be touched by the true meaning of worship…. Submitting our very lives to Him….

Wishing you a meaningful Memorial Day today as we remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for us, to preserve our freedom in the US, here on earth. Above all, may we remember the One (Jesus) who gave His very life on our behalf so our freedom extends beyond the here and now and is secured for all eternity. Praise the Lord for His abundant kindness, forgiveness and mercy. We love because He first loved us (1 John 4:19). Hope you had a blessed Mother’s Day yesterday. We had a unique type of service yesterday, filled with testimonies from mothers (or their husband), and with a special song from some of the dear young ladies in our church for their “Mamas”. It has been a blessing to watch these teens growing into wonderful young women.
For some, Mother’s Day is filled with joy. For others it is very difficult. That is likely because our mothers impact us so greatly, whether for good or ill. And motherhood is HARD. Yet every challenge, every sorrow, every bruised knee we have from time spent in prayer, every teardrop waters the soil of their lives and by the grace of God can become a harvest in their hearts as they come to know and love Jesus and follow after Him. (2 Peter 3:18, 3 John 1:4)
Praying for all of us (particularly women), whether we are moms or not, whether it is/was something we desire(d) but did not receive, or whether we have regrets or sorrow from loss of our own children, mother or our own dreams…. Jesus is rich in mercy and grace, and in fact, He is the one who created mother’s hearts in the first place, and by doing so gave us a HINT of His eternal and perfect love. May that amazing love abound in your heart today….

Thank the Lord for using difficult times to pour out His grace in our lives. So grateful to be able to worship alongside these two beloved brothers-in-Christ, who also happen to be my earthly nephews. Also for the other wonderful members of our worship team and congregation. The Lord used the world’s idiotic response to a pandemic to move me to this church that was open when others shut down. Praise the Lord that to this day, He has blessed us with “breath in our lungs” to sing and shout His praises together! Want to worship along with us? Wow, what a beautiful time in worship this past Sunday (March 17, 2024), along with another great word in the sermon series on the book of Hebrews. The entire service is a blessing and by His grace, I pray it will move your heart closer to Him. There were some especially touching moments in tender worship to Jesus beginning around the 14 minute mark. Even we who know Jesus have a deep need for Him, as profound as our need for air or food. As we yearn for more of Him, let our hearts turn as well toward those who do not yet know Him. May our eyes look to Him, the One Who has the power and deep desire to reveal Himself to those who need Him so very desperately, and yet don’t even realize their deep spiritual need. So many confused and hurting hearts who need His touch to meet that inner longing….. Our King, Who humbly came to this earth as a baby, and now reigns on high! All hail King Jesus!

For those who love to hear testimonies of God’s faithfulness and goodness, our women’s prayer group (where we pray for our children, along with many other requests) shared testimonies with the larger church body. My guess is women might appreciate these testimonies more than most men (we women tend to be a bit verbose!) But HEY, the Lord deserves LOTS of praise and thanks for His amazing faithfulness! Oh, what a mighty God we serve!
